A contractor working on the major works program in the construction area at Kent Road Public School has tested positive for COVID-19. NSW Health have completed their assessment and have confirmed the contractor did not attend the school site area while they were infectious. The school site area is separate from the construction site area – with separate entrances and exits.
The school development day will proceed as planned for staff only on Monday 20 July.
School will resume for students on Tuesday, 21 July as planned.
We would like to reassure you the school will take all required action in accordance with advice from NSW Health on a confirmed case of COVID-19 where there has been an impact on our school.
In this case there is no action required, it is a personal matter for those involved and they will be supported directly by NSW Health. We are sure you will join us in wishing the contractor a quick recovery.
People assessed as being a close contact of the staff member concerned will be contacted by NSW Health directly and given appropriate advice. NSW Health have processes in place to determine those who are a close contact.
